Checked baggage

Each passenger is entitled to one piece of luggage up to a maximum of 23 KG + 7 KG handbag (unless otherwise stated)

The number of items of baggage that you can bring is flexible within the free baggage allowance. Please note however that for security and occupational safety reasons your checked-in item of baggage may not weigh more than 23 kg.

  • Over-sized baggage will be charged $35 accumulated to the excess baggage fee in case it exceed the allowance.

-Cost for the extra weight/luggage for destinations from/to:

Turkey, Georgia, Greece, Sharm el Cheikh and Cyprus = $7 per Kilo per person per way.

          $100 per luggage (20 Kilo) per person per way.

Croatia, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria = $15 Kilo per person per way.

                                                                                                                            $150 per luggage (20 Kilo) per person per way.

The following applies to services available in GDSs under the H1 code

  • 1 piece per passenger free of charge (max 23 kg)
  • Carry-on: 1 piece per passenger free of charge (max 7kg)

Hand baggage

You can carry one item of hand baggage up to 7 KG on board with you for free. In addition, you can carry one laptop bag or one small ladies handbag/ gentlemen’s satchel (not exceeding 25 cm× 33 cm × 20 cm) or one duty free shopping bag. Your total carry-on allowance must not exceed 10 kg.

Each item of hand baggage has to be smaller than
 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm so you can store it in the overhead locker or under your seat. If your hand baggage is too big or too heavy to carry on board, you can check it in at the check-in desk subject to your checked baggage allowance and applicable excess baggage rates.

The following list of items is banned and restricted in your baggage:

  • Flammable, non-flammable and poisonous gases, such as butane, oxygen, propane and aqualung cylinders.
  • Flammable liquids and solids, such as lighter or heater fuels, paint and matches
  • Poisonous substances such as insecticides, weed killers, arsenic and cyanide.
  • Radioactive material, oxidizing materials and organic peroxides.
  • Firearms and explosives, such as handguns, automatic weapons, munitions and ammunitions.
  • Infectious substances such as bacteria and viruses.
  • Corrosives such as mercury, acids, alkalis and wet-cell batteries.
  • Cooking oils.
  • Striking matches and cigarette lighters.

Loss of baggage policy

Should you not receive your baggage upon arrival, please report it immediately to the ground handling services office (lost and found office) at the arrival hall. An official Claim (Property Irregularity Report or PIR) must be completed.

If you were flying on Wings of Lebanon, please send us the following documents to allow the start of the investigation:

  • Claim (Property Irregularity Report)
  • Baggage Tag
  • Passport Copy
  • Boarding Pass

Important: Failing to receive any of the above documents, we will be unable to proceed with the search of your luggage.

We will do our best to find your luggage during a maximum investigation period of 60 days. Once the luggage is found, we will contact you to inform you of the collection procedure. In the unfortunate event that the baggage is not found during the period, we will contact you to inform you about the next steps. Note that per international regulations, the passenger is reimbursed $20 per kilo (or the equivalent) up to a maximum of 20 kg per luggage.

Please be advised that we are not liable for damaged baggage and its content.

Note: If you booked with us and traveled on any airline other than Wings of Lebanon, please contact the lost and found office of the respective airline.
